A Fresh Breeze

The plastic wrapping crumbles and folds into a small ball, revealing the unique design. The inside is white, icy and circular. It's small and rough. You could feel the letters on the donut shaped object glide across your fingertips. The anticipation before having a taste goes through my mouth. I gently place it directly on my tongue, instantly making my mouth water. The flavor sends icy, almost spicy shocks. It begins to separate into smaller pieces, exploring the rest of its cave. It feels as if winter has begun. The flavor calms down like as if the cold has ended, becoming rather soothing. As it slowly melts away, the first icy taste still lingers. It's now gone, but I'll still be able to remember and enjoy the snowy experience for a little longer.

  1. A word that popped into my head after reading your blog was "cooling". Your description of the mint itself was able to bring a sensation that I was able to visualize, also to confirm it is the experience you have when enjoying this mint.

  2. I enjoyed your description of the mint. Mentioning that you can feel the lettering on the outside of it was very clever. Comparing icy to spicy was also very relatable. I felt the cooling sensations as I read it.

  4. Good start at using sensory details here. Remember that even in this post, you still need a setup (context/background) and a sign off for closure.
